After this happened she got washed (always good to do to the dead) and placed upstairs (nice that they put her out of the way). Two men went to get Peter in the next town over, and begged him to come back and see Dorcas. Apparently Dorcas was a bangin' seamstress, as the compelling reason given to Peter for her greatness was showing him the robes and clothes she made the widows. They must have been amazing because Peter sent them all out of the room, knelt down and prayed, and promptly told the dead woman to get up! And she did, but admittedly did need a bit of help standing up, you know, because she was just recently dead. Peter then presented the newly brought back to life Dorcas to the saints and widows and many believed in the Lord. And I know I believe already, but if I was on the fence and was showed a recently dead woman that's now alive again, I know I would believe!
